A  planning application and design carried out in association with Keith Graham Architecture. This extension had to incorporate a very large tower platform extruder/ machinery tower 13m high which had to be built in place and required large amounts of ventilation.  The design of the building had to consider the existing adjoining tower part of the protected structure which required sun path diagrams to ensure there was very little impact on the building.  A new  reception and the adaptation of a link over the canal needed to be addressed. The design of the tower with the polycarbonate opaque glazing at night facing south like two large eyes, catches the life in the building for this  24 hour operating  factory.
